A man who had been admitted to Blackburn hospital casualty department with a suspected overdose walked out of the hospital at 0045 in the early hours of Saturday morning after he then had an argument with his girlfriend.
He was last seen going down the hospital access road to Haslingden Road. The Police helicopter made two flights over the area but found no trace.
The Team commenced a search of open land immediately around the hospital in view of the deteriorating weather. The search was concluded at 1430 with nothing found.
The man was later found alive and well.
