Incident 11/06/17 Ambulance Assist (ACCRINGTON) 29/17

Date: 11/06/17

Time: 14:08hrs – 22:10hrs.

Location: Oak Lane, Accrington, Lancashire.

Request from: North West Ambulance Service.

Details: Our team were called by the North West Ambulance Service to a female who had fallen 15 metres down a ravine.

The female casualty suffered a ‘nasty’ head injury and a suspected broken leg and pelvis and was airlifted to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment

Our team attended the scene and were assisted by some colleagues from Bolton MRT.

The casualty suffered quite a nasty head injury and a suspected fractured leg and pelvis.

She was treated at the scene and once she was stabilised we placed her on a stretcher and winched her up the side of the ravine.

She was then taken to a waiting helicopter which landed on the playing fields near to Hollins school and then flown to Royal Preston Hospital.
