MRT Assist
December 08, 2008 @ 12:05 PM
41: Two team members were asked to assist Bolton MRT with a spot pick up in Greenmount, Bury.
Bolton team leader had contacted our team leader direct, to ask whether a couple of team members living in the vicinity of the incident could assist with a casualty evacuation from a 'country park' area. Mountain rescue assistance had specifically been requested by the paramedic on scene (who just happens to be one of our own team members). An elderly female had slipped on ice on a path, 300 metres from the road head at Shepherd Street.
Two team members duly attended and assisted with the carry to a Bolton team vehicle, and then transfer to the NWAS ambulance.
