44: A continuation of the previous search at Padiham (incident 44).
Team members were asked to re-search the river bank in the Padiham area, for a male who had been seen to jump into the water from a bridge in Padiham, during the early hours of the morning, 20 December.
We searched the south bank of the River Calder from Padiham to Altham bridge, and north and south banks from Altham Bridge to Hydeburn Brook. Water levels had dropped significantly from previous searches and lots of debris was found at river bends and against obstructions in the river. Nothing was found.
The gentleman's body was ultimately found in the water by a walker, between Padiham and Langho, on 31 December.
