72: Two persons decending the track from Rooley Moor Road to Alf Kymes reported being chased by a herd of cows.
They were now stuck with another herd in front of them and unable to move in either direction.
The man had dialled 999 and spoken to the police who ascertained his rough position. Four team members were despatched to pick them up.
The pair were found and picked up at 21.30hrs and returned to their car at Edenfield.
