85: A sixteen year old female was reported to be suffering from hypothermia at the trig point on Pendle Hill.
Two police officers and three NWAS crew were on scene with the patient, Lancs ASU had been called but were unable to land due to cloud cover. RAF were also called by the FIM but unable to attend.
We were paged to attend and contact made with one of the police officers. The NWAS crew had decided to walk the casualty off the hill and were making their way down the Miners Track as team members assembled at Pendle House Farm.
In the event, we were not deployed following discussions with the police officer present and agreement to let the party make its way down the hill within sight of the team.
The patient walked to the NWAS ambulance and was transferred to hospital for treatment. Team members stood down at 02.20hrs.
