Ambulance Assist

29: The team was asked to assist with a crashed paraglider at Whitworth.
Ambulance crews from both Greater Manchester and Lancashire were en route, as well as Helimed. The call to assist also came through by pager from Lancashire police, who suggested we await developments before deploying. However, team members were already alerted. The RV point was given as the Red Lion pub at Whitworth, with the casualty located one mile up the track behind the pub. The actual location turned out to be on the moors above Lobden Golf Club. Team members arrived just in time to see Helimed lifting off with the casualty on board.
