Ambulance Assist

30: We were called to assist with a casualty, suffering cardiac arrest and located on the moors adjacent to Blackstone Edge reservoir.
The land ambulance crew were unable to locate the casualty. Helimed 99 was called, as were Oldham MRT. Helimed spent about thirty minutes searching the area around the grid reference before finally locating the casualty and his two companions. Team members arrived on scene shortly after the helicopter landed. The helicopter crew pronounced death at the scene but were asked to wait for the police to arrive before the body was recovered. The deceased was finally transported in an Oldham team vehicle to the road head close to the White House public house, where he was transferred to land ambulance.
