Greetings from snowy Rossendale!
Bit of positive feedback from one of our casualties.
Well, the snow and ice seem to have set in for the duration, the pagers haven't stopped bleeping since before Christmas and snow-related incidents seem to have blurred into one long callout. So it's nice to get some positive feedback from one of the casualties we've helped.
'I am writing to thank and congratulate your team on their friendly and professional help given to us on Sunday 3 January. Our friend had fallen on ice outside of our home and had a back injury. The ambulance could not reach us due to ungritted roads, but our friend needed taking to hospital and had to be carried to the ambulance by stretcher. Your crew provided this service and what an excellent team they are!
We would like to say a big thank you for the effort made. Our friend was later discharged from the Blackburn hospital and, whilst waiting for transport, we saw your lads again bringing in another casualty. What a day they must have had.'
You can say that again, Lorraine! But thanks for the feedback – we're only too happy to help.
