CALLOUT 50 – Call to assist with search for missing person
May 24, 2021CALLOUT 49
The team were contacted yesterday evening (18/5/21 at 18:35) by the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS ?) to assist with an injured teenager in the vicinity of Hurstwood, Burnley.
Our team volunteers were deployed along with the North West Air Ambulance Charity (NWAA ?), arriving first on the scene, shortly followed by the NWAA crew. The casualty had sustained a suspected injury to their hip and was assessed by paramedics before being transported to the car park to meet an ambulance for onwards transportation to the hospital.
A total of 18 team members stopped their plans, left their homes and families early in the evening to attend to this incident.
Remember, RPMRT is a full volunteer organisation that responds to those in need in our local community. The teams’ volunteers are on-call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. As a team, these heroes give selflessly to the community whenever it is needed, but they also rely entirely on donations from members of the public to carry out this essential life-saving rescue service.
