On Sunday evening (29/03/2026), the team was called out to assist a family who had become stuck in poor weather conditions on Pendle Hill.
Team members made their way to the group, who were safely located despite the challenging conditions. After ensuring everyone was accounted for and well, the family was assisted off the hill to a place of safety.
This incident highlights how quickly conditions can deteriorate on the hill, even on familiar routes. Proper preparation, suitable clothing, and navigation equipment are essential when heading out.
