CALLOUTS 13, 14, 15 & 16
Whilst the team took a pause from our social channels during the lead-up and funeral of our team president, Peter Durst, the team remained on-call to the local community and responded to five incidents over the past few weeks.

CALLOUT #13

On the afternoon of Tuesday, 7th April, the team were contacted by the NWAS to assist with a report of people in the water. As the team (along with multiple other agencies) responded, we received word from initial responders that this had been confirmed as a hoax call and were stood down.

CALLOUT #14

On Friday afternoon (15:25 10/4/26), the team were mobilised to a casualty who had suffered a medical incident near the Nick of Pendle. The team deployed and made their way to the location where the casualty was assessed by our RRMTs (Remote Rescue Medical Technicians) before being evacuated in our ATV to the awaiting ambulance.

CALLOUT #15

The team were contacted to assist NWAS and NWAA (North West Air Ambulance Charity), who were already on scene at a motocross event just off the A56 on Sunday morning (11:30 12/4/26). A casualty had suffered a serious lower leg injury, and the team was required to assist with evacuation to enable onward transportation to the hospital.

CALLOUT #16

On Saturday afternoon (13:00 18/4/26), the team were deployed to help an ambulance crew with access to a remote property near Sabden. As the team arrived, the crew had been assisted by a farmer and our support was no longer required.
The Rossendale & Pendle Mountain Rescue Team is a fully voluntary organisation which responds to those in need in our local community. The teams’ volunteers are on-call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and we rely entirely on donations from members of the public to carry out this essential life-saving rescue service.
You can help with the work we do and support the team by texting ‘RPMRT’ and an amount (ie ‘RPMRT10’) to 70085 to donate today. Alternatively, donate online at www.justgiving.com/RPMRT
