On Sunday afternoon (14/6/26), the team were requested by the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (NWAS) to assist a walker who had sustained a lower‑leg injury while out with their family near Wardle, Rochdale.
Team members met with the ambulance crew alongside HART paramedics. The family members were walked back to the road, while the casualty was given pain relief before being assisted onto a stretcher and carried back to the awaiting ambulance.

The Rossendale & Pendle Mountain Rescue Team is a fully voluntary organisation which responds to those in need in our local community.
