CALLOUT 25
On Wednesday 8th July, the team were contacted to assist our colleagues at the Northwest Ambulance Service (NWAS) in helping extricate a lady who had a suspected hip injury from a fall.
Mobile 2 and team members were mobilised to Barnoldswick, where, on arrival, they met with the medical team, and after working together to decide on the best plan for the ambulance, we stretchered the lady using the bell stretcher and big wheel to get her safely to the awaiting ambulance.
We wish the lovely lady a speedy recovery.
The Rossendale & Pendle Mountain Rescue Team is a fully voluntary organisation which responds to those in need in our local community. The teams’ volunteers are on-call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and we rely entirely on donations from members of the public to carry out this essential life-saving rescue service.
You can help with the work we do and support the team by texting ‘RPMRT’ and an amount (ie ‘RPMRT10’) to 70085 to donate today. Alternatively, donate online at www.justgiving.com/RPMRT
