Shortly after midday on bank holiday Monday (25/8/25), the team were contacted by the
North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (NWAS) to assist with a casualty who had suffered an ankle injury on Pendle Hill.
Team members were mobilised, and whilst some went via our Burnley base to collect vehicles, others made their way directly to the location.
The casualty was provided with some pain relief whilst their leg/ankle was splinted. They were then assisted into our ATV for a slow and steady journey off the hill, before being passed over to the care of an ambulance for onward transportation to the hospital.
As ever, we wish the casualty a speedy recovery!
