CALLOUT 07 – Call to assist Lancashire Police

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the team were deployed working with officers from Lancashire Police in the search for Samuel Smith, in the area of Foulridge near Colne.

At this time, the team have been stood down from these search areas after intelligence-led investigators confirmed with CCTV that Samuel had travelled out of the area and into Skipton. At the time of writing, the search has been handed over to N Yorkshire police, where they are continuing investigations.

We would like to pass our thanks to Bolton Mountain Rescue Team, Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team (BPMRT) and Cave Rescue Organisation, who were contacted and started to mobilise further resources to assist with the search before being stood down.
