CALLOUT 19 – Call to assist NWAS

Yesterday (17/07/2022) at around 14:00, the team was contacted by NWAS to assist with a cyclist who was injured in woodland close to Ewood Park in Blackburn.

Our team worked with the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust and North West Air Ambulance Charity crews to safely evacuate the patient to an awaiting land ambulance using our specialist stretcher.

As always, we wish the patient a speedy recovery.

The Rossendale & Pendle Mountain Rescue Team is a full volunteer organisation that responds to those in need in our local community. The team is on-call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and relies entirely on donations from members of the public to carry out this essential life-saving rescue service.
