On Sun, 17th Aug, at around 17:00, the team were contacted by the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (NWAS) to assist with a 12-year-old who had fallen off their bike at Lee Mill Quarry. Shortly after the initial call, the team were stood down by NWAS after they received a second call back to cancel the request.

Two days later, on Tuesday, 19th August, at ~17:20, another very similar request came in from NWAS. It was for another 12-year-old who had come off their bike at Lee Mill Quarry, this time colliding with a tree and sustaining some potentially more serious injuries. Team members made their way to the location where the casualty was given pain relief before their injured leg was splinted and evacuated to an awaiting ambulance.

Lancashire Police contacted the team on Fri, 22nd August, about another child; in this instance, they had injured their leg and were unable to get themselves off from Pendle Hill. Team members met with the group where the casualty’s injury was splinted and then evacuated in the buggy.
