CALLOUT 08 – Call to assist Bolton Mountain Rescue Team

On Saturday (21/3/26), the team were deployed to assist Bolton Mountain Rescue Team for an incident requested by the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust on Holcombe Moor.

Bolton’s team members had been mobilised, but with it being close to our area boundary, their leader informed us of the ongoing incident. Following a discussion with our duty leader, our team was mobilised along with one of our Polaris ATVs.

The team met with Bolton’s control vehicle, and after confirmation of the casualty’s location, committed to the hill, transporting personnel across the moor, getting within meters of the casualty’s location.

The casualty was assisted into the buggy, and along with the ambulance crew who had made their way in with Bolton team members, were all transported down off the hill to the awaiting ambulance.

All team members returned off the hill, and the teams were stood down, returning to their sunny Saturday afternoons.
