CALLOUT UPDATES
It has been a busy couple of weeks behind the scenes, with a few callouts amongst training, talks and other events.
CALLOUT #22 – 19th June
The team was contacted and deployed to assist the ambulance service with a casualty near Barrowford. Whilst the team were enroute, it was confirmed the crew were able to deal with the incident without further assistance, and the team were stood down.
CALLOUT #23 – 20th June
The team were contacted by NWAS to assist with a 30 year old with an ankle injury on the tops above Rawtenstall. Team members assisted with a stretcher carry-off to the awaiting NWAS vehicle.
CALLOUT #24 – 5th July
The team responded to a request to assist with a mountain biker who had come off in Lee Mill Quarry. Team members were stood down en route, but whilst somewhere already arriving at the RVP, it was agreed for them to continue due to local knowledge of the location and ensure the casualty was evacuated safely. Team members assisted in splinting and then extracting the casualty to the ambulance.
