CALLOUT 21 – Call to assist NWAS near Wardle

On the 7th June, the team was contacted twice in short succession by the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust (NWAS) with regard to ongoing incidents. As team leaders gathered further details, it transpired that the initial call was just south of our area in Oldham’s area, and as such, the call was passed onto them.
One team member who was already mobile and almost at the location continued and met with Oldham Mountain Rescue Team (OMRT), where they confirmed the casualty had been assisted to the air ambulance, also in attendance.
The second call was also outside of the team’s area, and a duplicate of a call Bolton was already aware of and responding to and as such, once confirmation was made, the team stood remaining team members down.
